Day 883 - There's Nothing More Dangerous Than A Boy With Charm

Shoes: Turquoise & Coral Heart 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa

Well here's what I'm going to call my 'birthday outfit', even if it was a couple of days afterwards.  Most of you will have read what happened that day, if not...I was supposed to meet a friend for lunch and got stood up!  I spent hours waiting in this outfit not knowing I'd been stood up (which is even worse really).  How could someone be so cruel when my hair was sitting all cute, my makeup was splendid, my outfit was so pretty and the sun was shining?  How, whyyyyyy?? I am indeed only joking and not that full of myself ; )  One of the good things about having a blog though, is that at least it wasn't all completely for nothing, because you get to see and critique it and we can believe we all spent the day happily together eating birthday cake, no?  I hadn't realised I'd worn these shoes with this dress before actually, but looking back, I did in September last year.  My hair was green, I wore a belt and my jewellery was all different thankfully, so it's not exactly the same.  I can see myself wearing this hair-clip my sister got for my birthday a lot.  It's quite long and I love when my hair is swept up to the side like that.  It's cute.  And you missed it friend!

Wearing: Pansy 'Peggy' dress Swan by Clements Ribeiro, blue camisole Primark, jewel hair clip gift, parrot ring Miss Selfridge, flower frog ring Evans, spike ear cuff ASOS, kitty bow brooch Plastic Bat.
Fit: 4 1/4" heel, adjustable slingback, true to size.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 882 - If You Really Love Me, Then Why Are You Leavin' Me?

Shoes: Green suede 'Dolly Mixture' Irregular Choice

A double outfit post today from last weekend. If you'd like to know what I've been up to, I wrote a more detailed explanation in this post today (it's quite funny and pathetic at the same time, plus you get to see my pressies!). It was my birthday last Friday, so as I was alone most of the day, my sister and I decided to do something on the Saturday instead. We went to see Epic and it was great, other than trying to hide in the dark from my older sisters brother-in-law and wife and kids (long story). I had to rush taking photos beforehand and never got round to taking any afterwards, so it wasn't until I began editing them that I realised I had little decent material to work with! My doctor gave me new treatment gel which has left my face completely over-sensitised to anything and makeup and moisturiser touching my face burns and stings like mad (it's really rather sore). So between applying E45 to calm the burn and trying not to wear too much makeup, I looked a little worse for wear and shiny...I was sure I looked better in the flesh, but maybe that was wishful thinking ; )

Wearing:  Parrot dip hem dress Dorothy Perkins, cardigan Bonmarche, frog/flower ring Evans, parrot ring Miss Selfridge, striped logo bag Love Moschino, flower hair comb Yama Yama Pretty Mama.
Fit: True to size, 3 1/4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Shoes: Blue tartan 'Heather' Irregular Choice

On my actual birthday, like I said, I was home alone, dressed in my pj's, when my sister called to say she was coming home and we should do something. Eek! It was such a lovely sunny day (and how infrequent have they been lately?) that I did want to go out, I just didn't have much energy. So I got ready in 10 minutes, literally. I can do that...apparently, which makes me wonder why it takes so long usually?! So my outfit was not planned or anything special, it was the first thing I saw and it was completely non-birthday-ish, but I snapped it anyway!  Tomorrow you'll get to see my cute-as-pie outfit, that was birthday-special that nobody saw, because my friend stood me up, sad face!

Wearing: Cat face maxi dress ASOS, green beaded cardigan Primark.
Fit: Slightly roomy in my regular size. 4" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 881 - Our Song On The Radio But It Don't Sound The Same

Shoes: Yellow floral 'Prom Princess' Irregular Choice

I had the hygienist on Thursday and it was more of a social visit than medical! We chatted for a full half hour about shoes, bags, family, illness, Facebook and recent things happening in the UK.  It's a difficult conversation to have when you have two hands stuck in your mouth, scraping away at your teeth, but I managed all the same.  I've been really shattered this week, but have had appointments like this to keep, so have just had to keep going.  Anyway whenever I got into the room, she was like 'oooh your shoes were getting talked about last time you were here' (remember the robot incident) and that's what started the whole thing off.  I'd worn super pretty shoes this time and it wasn't until I got home I realised I'd picked my 'Once Upon A Time' clutch and 'Prom Princess' shoes, fairytale partners!

Wearing:  Neon floral dress H By Henry Holland, leggings and cardigan Primark, earrings Mawi, parrot rings Miss Selfridge, Once Upon A Time clutch ASOS.
Fit: True to size, you don't need to unfasten the strap or bow to get them on. Roughly 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.

Day 880 - The Dirt I Have On You is The Ground

Shoes: Blue spot 'Flopsy' Irregular Choice

Hello, hello!  I'm sooooo nearly caught up, just one more post, but it will have to wait until tomorrow.  You may have noticed I cut my hair the other day.  I do these things on impulse (never leave me alone with sharp objects)! Seriously, I've been doing the forward ponytail thing to cut it, but the ends were getting straggly as not much is cut off them each time and it's just not been sitting right.  So I chopped a little off my fringe, then tackled the rest.  I was home alone and it's quite difficult to cut your own hair as you can't see the back, but away I went!  I did that thing of evening it out until each side got shorter and shorter, then there wasn't much left to cut.  Slightly shorter than I intended, but hopefully it'll sit better now.  You also may have noticed the purple was leaving my hair fast.  It turned pale lilac and while I liked it, it was starting to look a little patchy, so I thought I'd tackle that by myself too (no fear).  I usually prefer my Mum doing it for precision, but seeing as she's on her hols, I just threw the purple on and didn't bother with bleach because my roots aren't too bad.  It worked really well, even if I do say so myself. I'm bright purple again, yay!  Also this is the dress in my wishlist post on Pink Haired Princess from the start of the year that I wanted to get to wear with these shoes.  It still hasn't hit my local Primark, but my parents have been searching any Primark they've been to and finally found it in Edinburgh last month.  Whoop, whoop!

Wearing:  Blue floral dress, leggings and cardigan all Primark, flower hair clips Debenhams, Minimal Baroque sunglasses Prada.
Fit: I find my regular size short in length (despite them measuring the standard size), so for comfort I'm wearing the size up although they do feel a little big.
Comfort: Easy to walk in, wore with insoles and they didn't rub this time.

Day 879 - Chill Out, What You Yellin' For?

Shoes: Floral tapestry 'Damsel' Jeffrey Campbell @Office

It's been really pleasant to have a spell of sunshine and warmish weather with no rain. Monday didn't look like a scorcher but was around 22 degrees, possibly the warmest it's been this year. It was dull and overcast though, so this outfit was perfect as a nod to the warm weather but without looking too ridiculous with no sunshine! I forgot how high these wedges are, much higher than the (similar) ASOS Ablaze boots. My old physio would have been going crazy at me stooping using my walking stick with too high shoes! She gave me a few sticks in a variety of lengths, so I could use them with high or very high heels. I've become so accustomed to my own stick now though, that the other ones feel uncomfortable, so I don't use them. Plus mine has a pretty pattern on it!

Wearing: Coral lace dress George at Asda, pearl and beaded cardigan Primark, belt taken from another dress, lace socks H&M.
Fit: True to size (these are a UK5), 6 1/2" heel and 2 1/2" platform.
Comfort: Quite a steady base to walk on despite the height, I wouldn't sprint in them though!

Day 878 - For Once Why Don’t You Get Down Off Your High Heels

Shoes: Blue glitter 'Elevated 3 Strap' Vivienne Westwood & Melissa via Shoeaholics

I mentioned I've been so busy lately that I've struggled to keep up with writing new blog posts and also reading your blogs, but I'm slowly getting there. This outfit from last Friday was for a doctors appointment. Dentist and doctor in the one week, lucky me! I'll have another post for you right after this one of my outfit from Monday and you can see my makeup for Monster High Monday here. Looking back at the photos in this post, I'm not very keen on this outfit and I'm not sure why. It feels a little dulled down and not very fun despite the sparkly shoes and kitsch fruity print on the dress. The shoes are so cool though, because they looked blue indoors, then in the sun they turned a bright violet. Along with the duo-chrome colour, they are also completely shimmery and the sunlight really made them glow!

Wearing: Fruit print dress H By Henry Holland, green beaded and pearl cardigan and leggings Primark.
Fit: A little snug, narrow in the toe. 4" heel and adjustable buckles.
Comfort: Toes can ache after a while because they are narrow.
