I'm really excited for TSGSI this week because I've gone for full-on fancy dress. Last week, I had Halloween themed items, but this time I thought I'd provide a little costume inspiration for the weekend. You have so many options with fancy-dress these days; there's a plethora of ready to wear 'bought' costumes, you can go down the crafty route and make your own or you can find perfectly suitable dress-ups from items you already own and/or can buy a few pieces of ordinary clothing and accessories that can be worn throughout the year, but when combined make the perfect Halloween outfit. I've gone for the latter, as I like a bit of a challenge and my first look is Cruella DeVille from 101 Dalmatians. I have to admit as much as I'm against animal cruelty, real fur and killing cute puppies for coats, that woman is one of my fashion icons! She always looks so chic with the furs and LBD's and animal prints. I'll have you know I won a prize for my Cruella costume at the school Halloween disco, some 17 years ago!

My luxe outfit this weekend, sees another pair of fluffy shoes, these amazing Giuseppe Zanotti spiked satin sandals £255 (sale). The marabou trim looks so luxurious and those spikes, wowzers! I paired them with this pretty little lace Manoush dress, some sparkly earrings and a little Viktor & Rolf box clutch. The Dolce & Gabbana hairband not only has a lovely Autumnal feel but also ties in the gold touches from the shoes. Luxury goth! Question is, do you prefer this high end look to the high-street fluffy sandals look earlier?
I'm a little late with this (would help if I'd pressed 'publish' yesterday), but my high-end outfit will be following later today. Whenever I saw these New Look fur strap sandals £24.99, I knew I was going down the cat route! The shoes also come in a lovely nude shade, but the black best fits my Halloween theme. I've teamed them with a dress that's been in my saved list for some time, it's by Kill Star and features these amazing fringed sleeves (they look stunning when on the model). I think I'd feel the need to walk around with my arms straight out, swooshing the fringes around! I've added an ASOS cat belt, kitty iPhone case and sparkling cat mask from the Katy Perry range at Claire's. The Topshop 'webbed' tights look like they've been laddered and shredded by a cat, so I thought they worked well too. Do you like this look?

Hello lovelies, here's my next Halloween inspired outfit and it's also plus-size this time. The shoes are wide fit multi-strap shoes £39.99 from New Look (come in lovely tan too). I've styled them with this black Boohoo dress with pumpkin detail (it also comes in orange) and a long black cardigan and beautiful lace cat mask (optional!). I added some pumpkin socks for fun and imagine the puzzling looks when you go guising (trick or treating) and stash your sweeties in this chocolate bar clutch bag! Do you like this outfit?

Shoes: Embellished 'Lana' Sophia Webster
Yes, the day has finally come, I've reached Day 1000! I will be writing another post on the momentous occasion later in the week, but for now "yay"!

Sorry I didn't have time for The Shoe Girl Styles It last week. I had a physio appointment and was pooper-scoopered for the rest of the week. This week, I thought it would be fun to have spooky inspired outfits in the run-up to Halloween. Not 'fancy-dress', but Halloween inspired. Is it just me or has everywhere gone crazy for Halloween this year? I haven't been near any shops, but certainly online there's loads of accessories and clothes that aren't intended as costumes but to get into the spirit (no pun intended). Is it becoming quite Americanised here then or do you think we just like the novelty? Anyway onto the shoes and they are New Look embellished heel ankle boots £39.99. I thought at first glance they had a glitter heel, but when I clicked the close-up, I could see it's actually tiny beads and stones stuck on. Pretty cool. I've teamed them with this rather creepy bandaged bodycon dress from Topshop and this beautiful belted M&Co coat (use code AUTUMN20 for 20% off until 28th October, on all full price items). Add some ghostly earrings, a 'bag of tricks' clutch and glow in the dark bat tights. Yes you heard correctly-watch me light up! Do you like this?

Shoes: Black 'Marble Moose' Irregular Choice
Wassup peeps? I had to resort to using an old photo for these shoes today, but I haven't blogged them here before, so that's alright.

Better late than never they say, so here I am with a much later than planned Sunday TSGSI. I've got one of those headaches that makes you wonder if you'll even wake-up in the morning, so thought resting and sleeping would help, but it didn't. So, if in doubt, blog! I watched Alvin & the Chipmunks (seen it before), fleeting moments of Stand By Me (seen it before) and Monster In Paris (never seen it) and cried at Tarzan (seen it once before). Fun times! Onto 'work' now and I was feeling a tad Halloween inspired and decided to just run with it ('tis the season afterall). They are kinda modern witchy aren't they? I think they are rather lovely, with a fab print and cut-out detail, weird sticky out adornment and black suede trim. They are Marc by Marc Jacobs £194 and available in sizes 2-6. I teamed them with this Manoush dress, which has a gothic dolly feel. The collar close-up, is actually cross-stitch and there's the flower brooch detail below that. I'm most definitely getting an Ulyana Sergeenko vibe from this outfit! So it seemed appropriate to add the black lace veiled hairband and these little lace gloves. Do you like this look?

Ooh look at these pretties! A black court in a suede-like finish, with gems and studs and embroidery (which deserved their own close-up image). They're called Party All Night from ASOS £60 and also come in a pretty deep pink velvet. I chose to style them with an embellished black jumper, which I thought perfectly accented the details on the shoes. Alongside this wonderful midi length, full floral skirt which looks remarkably similar to another high-street one that's several times the price (*cough*Coast 'Rita'*cough*). Both the jumper and skirt are currently reduced in the sale too, so you could get this complete outfit for more or less the same price as that other skirt! I accessorised with this fluffy black cat clutch bag. I bought the pink one last week (and will be buying the black one too) and it's so ridiculously fun and HUGE! I got the black purse for my sister and now need one myself because the black is super silky (much softer than the pink)...I could stroke it all day! Do you like this look?

Hello chickies, hope this week is going well for you. You really need to see the close-up or image on the foot of these boots to see how sparkly they are. I feel it doesn't come across so well in the image above. The boots are called Encore from ASOS £48 and also come in black with textured panel. I like that they aren't too fancy or sparkly for daywear. I've teamed them with a plain black peter-pan collar dress and these fun leggings from Pulp. They have loads of other designs (Frozen, Cinderella, Adventure Time, Marvel etc) and they're all currently on 2 for £30 with the code 2LEGS. Do you like this look?

Shoes: Cream 'One Who Charms' Irregular Choice
Day 998 and I'm almost running out of new shoes to show. Or at least those I can access. I've been photographing in bulk, when I've been feeling up to it but ran out of photos.

I know these boots are plain, but I think they've got a nice shape and I kinda like the 'nude' colour that will go with everything. They are called 'Excite Me' from ASOS £38 (and also come in black). I wanted to pair them with a skirt and fell in love with this lace one, especially with that irregular, ragged hem detail. I tried something a bit different pairing it with a jumper, plain cape (was a bit too plain, so I added a brooch) and this lovely furry bag. I feel it should be a disaster, it certainly sounds it, but actually it's turned out rather chic! What do you think?

Ok, hopefully this has worked, it's my first time scheduling a blog post. I'm currently babysitting three rowdy, nephews after their first sleepover at our house, so I know it's unlikely I'll have time to write this post (or even keep my eyes open). Prepared and organised for once, go me! So the shoes today are DSquared2 satin sandals £260 (they also come in a lovely dark green). They've got those heels that look chunky from a side view but are actually very slim when you see them face-on. Cheaters! The dress I picked to go with them is incredible. I just fall in love with Paul & Joe things, they're super cute. I also love that most of the time you can match their limited edition makeup cases (lipstick, blusher etc) to their clothing. We all need that matchy-ness in our lives! Plus it's got pockets. Pockets! So kitty galore on the dress (worn with black tights) and then these adorable earrings from Nach. I think they are ferrets, though something is telling me they're supposed to be cats. Maybe not. Anyway, I picked them for the colours and cuteness rather than wanting to match cat prints...sure they are ferrets. Do you like this look?

It's funny how these posts work sometimes. I wasn't really feeling a particular style or theme and chopped and changed the individual items so many times. Sometimes, it's like that and you end up building an outfit but something isn't quite right, you're at the point of scrapping it altogether, then you just tweak one or two pieces and it all falls into place. I've ended up really loving this look. Before I get ahead of myself, the shoes are Read My Lips from ASOS £45. Lower than I'd personally wear, yet something is drawing me in (probably the glitter). I have a feeling they'd be very versatile...I mean I'm sure many didn't expect this outfit to work with them, yet it does. I think they'd look adorable with ankle socks or longer socks and would work with tights as well. I like the deep wine colour too. So the first thing to make the outfit, was the skirt. A little floral number by Coast and despite pairing it with neutral tops such as soft peach or beige, I picked out the pastel blue. Not a colour I'd usually think to wear with wine, but the skirt is the item that brings both colours together. The little clutch is super cute in duck-egg blue and then I felt a darker accessory was required too and this Johnny Loves Rosie hairband fits the bill. Do you like it?

What unusual shoes these are. The cut-out, especially that almost strap effect at the front are quite unique. The only thing I'm maybe not keen on is the heel. It kinda looks like a stuck-on after-thought. I love the combination of textures and colours in the uppers though. The shoe-boots are called Empire State Of Mind from ASOS £45 and I just love this Topshop Boutique dress, which was new in that I've teamed it with. Lovely autumnal colours and print. I kept it pretty tonal with a deep burgundy fur collar and bag. Do you like this look?

I thought I'd choose the photo of these shoe-boots on the foot, as you can see the shape more clearly. They are called Take Me Home from ASOS £42. They've got a peep toe and front slit. I wanted something plain to show off this dress, but at the same time, wanted some flesh on show because the rest of the outfit is very black and covered up. I would wear the faux leather jacket open and the leggings and hat just felt right for this dress. Onto the dress and wowzers, how fab is this? I love the fun, childlike print with little mermaids and boats and all kinds of sea life. I'm also a sucker for a collar and the plain black definitely inspired me to keep the rest of the outfit black, leaving the colourful, playful design as centrepiece but wearing it in a grown-up way.
